Windows 2000 start bei 640x480x8bit

Ich habe seit Windows2000 ein Problem.
Windoof startet in 640x480 und 16 Farben!
Warum?
Bei Win98 war das nicht so.
Ich habe eine Radeon9000 mit dem catalyst 3.10 von Ati.com.
Der Monitor ist ein Yakumo 796N.
Den Treiber bzw. das Farbschema von yakumo.de hab ich installiert.
Im Gerätemanager steht unter Monitor, mein Modell.
Wo ist das Problem?

Nein, ich hab den Treiber und das Controlpanel komplett instaliert

Und die Auflösung lässt sich garnicht verändern, oder wird sie beim Neustart nur nicht übernommen?

Ich muss bei jedem Neustart die Auflösung neu einstellen.
Auch der 60Hz-Bug kann es nihct sein da ich 85Hz problemlos einstelle

Dazu ist zu sagen, dass ich genauer gesagt Windows2000 Prof. SP2 habe, vielleicht sollte ich mal SP4 drauf machen

Argh, bin ich denn der einzige der sowas liest?

Jetz werd mal nicht angressiv!
Ich hab den 4.1 NICHT runtergeladen weil ich den Hinweis sofort gesehen habe!
Ich habe beim 3.10 anscheinend nicht draufgeachtet.
Ich werd mir mal SP4 hohlen und bericht erstatten

Monitor Driver Randomly changes to 'Default Monitor' (Windows XP)

Problem
Sometimes the monitor driver will change from the correct one (e.g. Sony E400P) to 'Default Monitor' causing DDC detection to be greyed out, lack of support for higher refresh rates, and problems with the directx refreshrate over-ride. A slightly slower boot into windows may also be noticed.

Solution
The problem occurs when you install drivers having not properly uninstalled your monitor driver when you uninstalled your previous drivers. Even if your monitor driver is correct at the time of uninstall, and you properly remove the ATI control panel, followed by the display drivers; when you next install a set of drivers, the problem will re-occur.

To avoid this simply follow this procedure for driver uninstallation/installation;

1. Goto the device Manager, select your monitor and select 'uninstall'.
2. Goto the main Windows control panel and select 'Add/Remove programs'.
3. Uninstall the ATI Control Panel. Select 'No' when asked to reboot.
4. Uninstall the ATI Display drivers. Make sure all boxes in the dialogue that pops are selected. Reboot when it asks.
5. When Windows loads and throws up it's request for driver installation for the display adapter; cancel it (do this for both times it asks).
6. Now simply run the install .exe for whatever Catalyst driver you want to install and reboot when asked.

Hat leider nicht funktioniert!
Bootet immer noch in 640x480
ich hab auch mit dem Catuninstaller alles gereinigt und dann den 3.10er draufgemacht. Braucht man für den 3.10er auch SP4?

Laut ATI ja.
Als ich damals den 3.1 Treiber heruntergeladen habe, stand auch oben dran, das man SP4 installiert haben sollte.

Das muss aber kein Zwang sein - eventuell funktioniert das auch ohne - aber wer sich nicht an die Anforderungen hält, ist für Fehler selbst verantwortlich ;)
