Hallo,
ich hab Suse Linux 9.1 auf meinem Notebook neuinstalliert und mir den Kernel 2.6.6 compiled (mein erster zu 100% laufender Kernel).

Leider kann ich den nVidia Treiber nicht mehr installieren. Wenn ich ihn per YOU lade wird er zwar installiert, scheint aber auch nicht zu funktionieren. Und wenn ich ihn von nvidia.com lade und selbst versuche zu installieren kommt nur unable to compile Kernel-module.

In der Log-Datei steht sehr viel verwirrendes Zeug:

Eigentlich muss es gehen, hab ja auch wie beschrieben die 8KB Stacks aktiv, nicht die 4KBer.

Hab außerdem das selbe Problem auch mit dem Suse Kernel 2.6.4-54.5 und dem neuen 2.6.7-rc2.

Ich habe irgendwo gelesen, dass dies ein gcc Versionsproblem sei und hatte es selbst auch schon beim Kernel 2.6.5, aber nicht bei SuSE's 2.6.4 (Was ziemlich unverständlich ist, weil sich am gcc nix ändert). Es hieß dort, dass die Typen, die der gcc als dopplet deklariert anmeckert, in irgendwelchen gcc Versionen schon definiert oder eben nicht definiert seien. Lösung habe ich auch noch keine. Eventuell kannst du über das nvnews.net Forum mehr herausfinden. Wenn Du mehr weißt, postest Du es hier bitte? (Danke!)
