Falsch. Die Fugees haben ebenfalls "Boadicea" von Enya gecovert.

Edit: Nicht mal gefragt haben die. Also nicht gecovert, sondern geklaut!



Edit: "Ready or not" von den Fugees kam 96 raus. Die Enya-CD, die ich hier in meinen Händen halte, hat mehrere Daten. 1980, 1987 und 1990.

Last week, The Fugees released a best-of compilation titled, 'Greatest Hits'. Enya's "Boadicea" was heavily sampled on "Ready Or Not" from their album 'The Score' (1996), a song which catapulted the group into super-stardom.

Upon releasing the song, the Fugees failed to receive appropriate permissions from Enya and her management to sample 'Boadicea' in their song. Enya stated "Our first reaction was to take the theme out of the album. I didn't know The Fugees, I thought they were rap and they had the label of 'ordinary group'. Later, their manager called me and he explained me that they did "hip-hop". I accepted with two conditions: the explanation of my consent in the record and that it were all according to law." Nicky Ryan, Enya's producer, labeled the Fugees' actions as "one of the worst cases ever of copyright infringement."

After a settlement between Enya and Sony Records, all existing copies of 'The Score' were accompanied by a sticker stating, "We are very grateful to Enya for her kindness and consideration in allowing us of her track 'Song for Boadicea,' from her album The Celts, which appears on the title 'Ready or Not,' witch was used initially without her permission."

Ja die Melodie ist mir bei fugees auch aufgefallen glaube aber auch dass sie die melodie gecovert habe, Meiner Meinung aber nach passt sie nicht zu dem Lied!

das Lied ist übrigens der Titelsong zu "Sleepwalkers", einer Stephen King-Adaption. Hierzulande indiziert (warum auch immer,....gibt Schlimmeres)
