Istallation eines neuen Bioses?

Ich möchte auf meine 6800 Ultra von Leadtek das neueste Bios aufspielen. Meine Frage ist nun wie ich das mache. Ganz am Rande hätte ich noch einmal eine Frage und zwar was bringt mir ein neues Bios? :confused:

Ein neues Bios kann manchmal ein Paar Bugs beseitigen, die Karte kann unter Umständen stabiler laufen.
Du muss das bios und das Flashtool in den selben Ordner Packen bootest im DOS, dann gibst du \wfflash biosname.rom ein und schwups sollte es drauf sein.

Aus der Readme des Leadtekflashtools


1. Reboot into DOS or Command Prompt Only.
2. Change to the directory which the WFFLASH.exe, Dos4gw.exe and the BIOS
binary file locate in.
For example, change to the folder you downloaded C:\A380U_2978>
3. Type the following command:
WFFLASH.EXE [FILENAME] ([Filename] means the file name of BIOS binary
file, usually XXX.ROM)
4. A dialog box will appear on the screen, asking you if you want to update
the BIOS. Type Y to update the BIOS. Type N if you don't want to update
the BIOS.
5. The screen will disappear for 5 ~ 10 seconds during the updating process.
Do not take any action before the updating is finished. Otherwise you may
encounter severe problems and need to have the card sent for repair.
6. After the updating is completed, you must reboot your computer.

Note: The updating must be done under the DOS prompt. Please start your system
with your startup disk to enter the DOS environment.
(The folder name and the file name may become different names, like A380_~1,
because of the long character length. It's recommended to use "dir" command
to see the exact name to type.)

Hast du denn überhaupt Probleme mit dem Bios der Karte?
Falls nein, würde ich das Bios nicht flashen, da es nicht ganz einfach und ungefährlich ist. Außerdem brngt ein neues Bios bei der Graka meistens keinen spürbaren oder messbaren Vorteil, sondern nur Bug Fixing.
