Habe so ziemlich alle FTP-Deamons durchprobiert
und habe mich dann für vsftp entschieden.

Vorteile:
- einfach zu konfigurieren
- stabil
- log file ist übersichtlich
- Sicher wie kein zweiter

pure-ftpd ist für virtuelle User super.
Man muss sich ein bischen einlesen. Aber dann läufts bestens.

Will ich mich dann aber auf dem Server einloggen meint er anonymous server only error 530 O_o

Ich verwende gentoo, und bei mir sind im File ftpusers:
die User eingetragen die sich nicht connecten können.

das hängt von folgender option ab

userlist_deny=NO

wäre das auf yes werden die in der liste geblockt ist es auf no werden die in der liste reingelassen. Also daran liegt es nicht

Für meine geringen Ansprüche, abundzu mal den FTP-Server zu starten, damit sich 'n Kumpel schnell mal was saugen kann (ICQ-Transfer geht ja nicht richtig unter Linux) benutz ich ProFTP und als GUI zum Konfigurieren (oh ja ;-) ) gProFTP
