XnView 1.8 erhältlich

Der beliebte gratis Bildbetrachter, -organisierer und -editor ist jetzt in Version 1.8 erhältlich. Es wurden unzählig viele Fehler bereinigt und jede Menge neue Funktionen hinzugefügt. Außerdem wurde die Bedienung vereinheitlicht.

Ich glaub XNView hat sich für mich grade zum "Killer" von ACDsee entwickelt. Jetzt funktioniert endlich auch das ACDsee-like verhalten, das Browser und View richtig getrennte Größen/Positionen haben, die sich auch beim Autoanpassen großer Bilder auf Bildschirmgröße nicht ändern. Klasse! War lange Zeit DIE Hürde für mich, Alternativen zum alten und schnellen ACdsee zu nutzen.

Aber XNView kann nach wie vor mit viel mehr Dateiformaten umgehen (Videos, PDFs, ...) und hat auch sonst viel mehr Funktionen. Übrigens ist XNV deluxe eingestellt worden, weshalb in naher Zukunft viele Funktionen in das normale XNV einfließen werden (browsen von Zip und RAR Dateien zB).

Das Interface von Faststone, die Funktionen von XNView und ich wär rundum glücklich. =)

ja, da hast du irgendwie recht. die nutzerführung ist bei faststone echt genial. (fast) alle funktionen liegen nur wenige klicks entfernt. xnview hat aber auch seine reize (funktionen, wobei ich videoformate damit nicht nutze), weshalb ich mich bisher noch nicht wirklich für eine der beiden apps entscheiden konnte und beide parallel nutze. ;)

Schneller sollte XnView noch werden, war wohl etwas voreilig mit dem "Killer" ausrufen, wenn man auf HQ-Sampling schaltet wird XNView geradezu arschig lahm im vergleich zum 4er ACDSEE. Dennoch schon eine freie Alternative zu haben die in Sachen Bedienung zu ACDSEE gleichzieht.
