Prefetcher probleme

Hey leute...

da bei mir die Bottzeiten immer länger werden hab ich mir mal gedacht ich schau mal woran des liegt... und prompt bin ich drauf gekommen, dass der Prefetcher nich funzt...

so und jetz bin ich immer schon am rumsuchen warum, aber ich find nix... scheinbar hat kein menscht dafür ne lösung!
Wie zur hölle bring ich Windoof dazu die LcnStartLocation und LcnEndLocation einzutragen??? die sind ja bei jedem system anders.. daher is des schwierig die manuell einzutragen.. oder?

Ich hab grad mal ganz stumpf Google mit ein paar Stichworten aus deinem Eintrag gefüttert. Zuerst mal der Disclaimer von mir: Ich hab keinen Plan worum es geht. Aber:

I then forced a "boot optimization" by entering the command (in the command prompt window):

defrag d: -boot

It finished pretty fast, so I looked in the registry to see what happened:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE

BootOptimizeFunction

and the "OptimizeComplete" item was set to Yes. So I set the LcnStartLocation to zero and the LcnEndLocation to zero, and ran the -boot again. These two fields are the logical cluster numbers1 of the beginning and ending of the boot-optimized "zone". The built-in defragmenter (and Diskeeper) do not move files in this zone in order to honor the boot-optimization.

This time running defrag took longer and the LcnEndLocation was 363658, with the LcnStartLocation being 345622. Thats a range of 282MB on this volume. When I looked on the disk, the file X15.DOC started at location 359858. Yep, that file was now in the so-called "optimized" zone.

Der "Taskplaner"-Dienst ist aber gestartet, ja?

Warum auch immer der Taskplaner aktiv sein muss, aber der war der Fehler!!!
