Nein, tut es nicht. Hast du das maschinell eins zu eins übersetzen lassen? Ist echt grauenhaft.

PS: Mit 16 hätte ich den Text nicht einmal auf Deutsch richtig verstanden, geschweige denn ins Englische übersetzen können. Ich nehme mal an, bei dir sieht das nicht anders aus. Ergo hilfst du ihm so nicht weiter.

Der letzte Satz ist furchtbar, aber auch meiner Meinung nach extrem schwer exakt sinngemäß zu übersetzen.
Generell ist der ganze Text imho ne harte Nuss.

der letzte satz sollte aussagen, dass es noch immer so ist. hat wohl nicht ganz funktioniert. :ugly:

"in the last years" würde ich aber keinesfalls sagen. z.B. bei "they did it in 1980" macht das 'in' sinn. in unserem fall entweder "they did it over the past 30 years" oder "they did it for the last 30 years" was etwa auf das selbe kommt.
