Das kommt wohl daher, dass sie den Crysis-Treiber sofort nach Fertigstellung online stellen konnten, den Catalyst 7.11 jedoch, der schon vorher fertig war (auch an der Nummer zu sehen, Hotfix 55588 gegen Cat. 7.11 54545/54436), erst noch zu Microsoft wegen dem WHQL-Logo musste, was auch einige Tage dauert.

Caution: Once the driver installation is completed under the Vista operating system (32 and 64 bit), the driver log file may report that the ATI T200 Unified AVStream Driver failed to install. A reboot of the operating system resolves the issue.

Das kommt wohl daher, dass sie den Crysis-Treiber sofort nach Fertigstellung online stellen konnten, den Catalyst 7.11 jedoch, der schon vorher fertig war (auch an der Nummer zu sehen, Hotfix 55588 gegen Cat. 7.11 54545/54436), erst noch zu Microsoft wegen dem WHQL-Logo musste, was auch einige Tage dauert.

Hat der Hotfix dann trotzdem die anderen Verbesserungen des 7.11, oder nur Verbesserungen für Crysis?

Höchstwahrscheinlich. Wie schon gesagt, die Crysis-Hotfix-Treiber ist aktueller, da er sich die WHQL-Zertifizierung ersparen konnte.

Lost Planet legt gut zu, auch mit 8xAA nun ca. 20-30 fps im 6-ten Level. Vorher hatte oft nur um die 12-17 fps.

Aber im CCC kann man immernoch zwischen SSAAA und MSAAA wählen, nur wird immer SSAAA benutzt (X1950GT). Ja, ist ärgerlich.

Sogut man es mit den Kameraden bis jetzt meinte, ich denke es ist endlich Zeit in den großen Internetportalen die generellen Probleme des Catalysts mit AGP-Karten endlich an die wirklich große Glocke zu hängen und Antowrten zu verlangen.

Ich kann das Paket gar nicht installieren unter XP mit einer AGP 1950pro.

Da kommt kurz nachdem die Installation beginnt eine Fehlermeldung Notify blubs und nix geht weiter auch Download von verschiedenen Quellen ändert nix.

Den Treiber und das CCC in den Einzelpaketen zu installieren, funktionierte einfach nicht. Die Grafikkarte wurde nach der Treiberinst. einfach nicht erkannt.

Somit musste ich das Gesamtpaket downloaden. Auch hier war erst eine korrekte Treiberinstallation nach dem 2. Versuch möglich.

Vorher nie so ein Problem gehabt. Habe allerdings erst ne ATI seit CAT 7.1.

Das war bei der 1950er Serie auch nicht viel anders, da hat es auch zwei Cat-Versionen gedauert, bis die Karte auftauchte.

Hmm, CoD4 rennt erstmal normal. Aber wenn ich übers ATiTool 4xAA und 8xAF einschalte, werden die Texturen schwarz und sehr Bauklotzmäßig.

Beim 2. mal hinlegen isser mir dann abgeschmiert (keine Reaktion, HW Reset)

frag mich auch was so schwer ist daran einen sofortigen support zu gewährleisten. und vor allem brauchbare, aber das scheint auch noch chipset abhängig zu sein :(

Alsoo, gerade mal gute 2 Std Crysis gezoggt. Fühlt sich auch bissi besser an. Schweb da gerade im Mutterschiff durch die gegend.

Soo, da mein neuer CPU Lüfter auch gerade angekommen ist, nen AC Freezer 64 Pro PWM hab ich den natürlich gleich verbaut :D

Aber glaub da iss mir nen kleines Problemchen passiert. Beim entfernen des alten, war der Kühlkörper nun doch recht fest angepappt und ich hab "ausversehen" Kühlblock + CPU aussm Sockel gezogen :eek:

Paar Pins waren anner Ecke verbogen :eek:

Aber hab sie wieder gerade hinbekommen, und passte auch wieder gut rein. Nun mit neuem Kühler (CPU iss nun ca 8-10 C° kühler) gings gleich ans antesten. Mal wieder Crysis...dabei viel mir auf, sobald mal so richtig Äkschn war blieb der PC "Hängen", kleine Soundschleife, das Bild stand :(

Aber mit Alt+Tab kam ich auffm Desk, und als ich zurück switche gings weiter.

Nun frag ich mich, lags am 7.11 oder doch an den verbogenen Pins ?

Weil vorher rannte es auffer Insel draussen ansich perfekt, auch mit mächtig explosionen und so...aber die CPU wird normal erkannt usw...

Bei mir lässt sich der Treiber nicht installieren:

Treiberinstallation gestartet, es wird entpackt usw.
Dann kommt ein leeres, kleines Fenster, wo als Titel "Notify" steht und sonst nichts weiter. Kann man nur mit OK bestätigen.
Dann kommt wieder ein kleines Fenster, als Titel "Notify" und drinnen stehe data.size()!=3. Kann man nur mit OK bestätigen.
Dann kommt die Meldung "Setup konnte die Installation nicht starten (0x80040707) und Setup.exe bleibt im Speicher.

Es sind alle .NET-Pakete mit Updates installiert, alle Updates auf XP Professional (32Bit) SP2 sind drauf. CatUninstall half nichts, auch komplett uninstall mit manuellem reinigen der Registry nicht. :(

Ich kann ihn noch nicht einmal herunterladen, weil ich an dem aggressiven Linkschutz einfach nicht vorbeikomme - Referrer, Javscript und Cookies habe ich erlaubt, es ist einfach zwecklos. Selbst wenn ich mich durch die komplette Seite von AMD/ATI durchklicke, lande ich bei der 403. Woanders gibt es die Version ohne CCC momentan leider nicht (jedenfalls nicht ohne Zwangsanmeldung).

Nur vom neuem CPU Lüfter bin ich net so überzeugt...gerade mal 2-3 C° weniger (47/48C°) nach guten 3 Std DaoC (MMoRPG) im 32er Mann Zerg :biggrin:

Eigentlich kann ich mit Sicherheit die Version des ATI Bildschirmteibers vergleichen:
Der Catalyst 7.11 ist vom 1.11.07 und der Hotfix ist vom 13.11.07.

So nach mehreren erfolglosen Versuchen überhaupt noch irgendeinen catalyst zu installieren hab ich langsam echt die Schnauze voll. Heute catalyst 7.10 deinstalliert und 7.11 installiert. Nach dem Neustart kam zuerst eine erneute Windows Aktivierung und jetzt kommt ständig "no permission to change graphic settings, contact administrator" ...

So nach mehreren erfolglosen Versuchen überhaupt noch irgendeinen catalyst zu installieren hab ich langsam echt die Schnauze voll. Heute catalyst 7.10 deinstalliert und 7.11 installiert. Nach dem Neustart kam zuerst eine erneute Windows Aktivierung und jetzt kommt ständig "no permission to change graphic settings, contact administrator" ...

Bei mir lässt sich der Treiber nicht installieren:

Treiberinstallation gestartet, es wird entpackt usw.
Dann kommt ein leeres, kleines Fenster, wo als Titel "Notify" steht und sonst nichts weiter. Kann man nur mit OK bestätigen.
Dann kommt wieder ein kleines Fenster, als Titel "Notify" und drinnen stehe data.size()!=3. Kann man nur mit OK bestätigen.
Dann kommt die Meldung "Setup konnte die Installation nicht starten (0x80040707) und Setup.exe bleibt im Speicher.

Es sind alle .NET-Pakete mit Updates installiert, alle Updates auf XP Professional (32Bit) SP2 sind drauf. CatUninstall half nichts, auch komplett uninstall mit manuellem reinigen der Registry nicht. :(

Den reinen Treiber kann man nachinstallieren per Gerätemanager - das funktioniert. Aber das ist ja auch nicht alles...

Ich wollte wieder vom 7.11er auf den Hotfix zurück wechseln, aber beim Setup meint der Installer, dass die installierte Version aktueller sei und lässt mich den Treiber dadurch nicht aktualisieren.
Würde es mein Problem lösen, wenn ich jetzt den 7.11er zuerst deinstalliere und dann den Hotfix aufspiele?

ich benutze bei XP-Home folgende Driver bis zum 7.11 ohne Probleme 7.7 7.10 7.11 jeweils mit zugehörigem CCC

Attempting to install the graphics driver on a system containing an NVidia NF3 chipset and an ATI AGP graphics adapter may result in the driver failing to install and the 3D engine not activating.

In Windows Vista 32bit or 64bit versions, the Device Manager will show a (!) mark and the AGP card will operate in PCI mode only. When the properties of the device are shown, the error code will show as code 43.

This issue has been seen with other AGP chipsets such as VIA and SiS but has since been resolved by chipset driver updates from these manufacturers.

AMD’s AGP adapters require correctly functioning AGP support from the operating system in order to run the WDDM driver under Vista. This WDDM driver has no way of working around the absence of AGP support.

Habe immer noch ein nerviges Problem mit dem Catalyst...

Bei Race Driver 3 wird egal welche Gamma-Einstellung überhaupt nicht übernommen. Das führt dazu, das ich bei einigen Rennstrecken (Rally z.B.) nicht sehen kann, wo lang die Strecke herführt, da der Schatten extrem dunkel ist.

Was kann man dagegen tun!?

Welche Einstellung entspricht dem alten Performance-AA (= Alpha-Test-SSAA mit halber MSAA-Samplezahl), welche dem alten Quality-AA (= Alpha-Test-SSAA mit voller MSAA-Samplezahl)?
Ist irgendwas davon EATM oder ASBT?

Das ist kein Switch ... man kann für beide Modi lediglich die Qualität einstellen. Die Option selbst wird nicht gespeichert.

Wenn ihr den Rechner neustartet und vorher was anderes auswähltet, so ist dies wieder auf Standard gestellt!!

Hehe, bei mir läßt er sich erst gar nicht installieren! (nforce 2, 9800 Pro, winxp)
7.10 macht in der Hinsicht keine Probleme. Die nächste Karte kommt definitiv von Nvidia. Das muß ich wirklich nicht haben! ATI ist mir zwar eigentlich sympathischer, aber den Mist tue ich mir nicht länger an! Die CCC-Bevormundung/Katastrophe habe ich mir ja gerade noch so gefallen lassen (dank ATT) aber jetzt ist Schluß. Bei aller Liebe, irgendwann reicht es!

Hab gestern unter meinem Windows XP auch das Update von Cat 7.10 auf den 7.11 getraut, allerdings seit dem ein Problem! Und zwar startet das ATI CCC nichtmehr!? Ich kann machen was ich möchte selbst eine Deinstallation mit anschliessendem Cleanen per Treiber Cleaner hat nicht geholfen das CCC bleibt einfach stumm. Wenn ich es starten möchte kommt ganz kurz 2-3x eine Sanduhr und weiter passiert nichts, beim 7.10 vorher lief alles noch einwandfrei. Was ich bisher nicht getestet habe ist wie es aussieht wenn ich den Catalyst 7.10 wieder installiere ob es dann läuft.

Aber wie zum Teufel kriege ich das CCC unter XP wieder hin damit das startet? Und Vista läuft der 7.11 inkl. CCC bei mir auch einwandfrei...

Microsoft .Net ist bis zur Version 3.5 installiert, ebenso DirectX ist auf dem neusten Stand und Windows Updates sind auch alle eingespielt.

Grafikkarte ist eine X1950 Pro PCI-Express.

Der Bug ist der das die Catalyst Treiber keinen "3D Modus" aktivieren.
Kurz gesagt spielen ist nicht möglich da kein D3D Renderer quasi gefunden wird.

Warum dieser Fehler genau auftritt ist noch nicht bekannt.
Anscheinend dürften viel nFORCE2 Besitzer dieses Problem haben.

Das Problem mit Diablo 2 habe ich auch auf einer HD 2900 XT mit Windows XP x64 und den Crysis-Hotfix-Treiber, scheint also ein generelles Problem zu sein, zumindest von den HD-Modellen.

Sowas wie beim Diablo Shot gibts nach dem 7.9er Catalyst auch bei Dungeon Keeper2. Schade das der 7.9er die 3870 nicht kennt ;( , denn der lief Astrein (mit HD2900XT) mit dem Spiel. Scheint garantiert ein Treiberproblem zu sein.

Interessanterweise hatte ich, mit dem 7.9er und HD2900XT Texturflackern an einigen Stellen bei der Crysis Demo, welches durch den Hotfix behoben wurde. Nur trat es nun bei Dungeon Keeper 2 auf. Gibts da vielleicht einen Zusammenhang oder Hinweis auf die Treiber interne Veränderung?

Meine mich erinnern zu können das hier das Board schult ist. Der VIA PT880 hat ja Probleme mit PCI-Express 2.0 Karten (NVidia 8800GT läuft z.B. gar nicht).

Hab den 7.10 Crysis-Hotfix inkl. CCC installiert und bin relativ begeistert. Das CCC startet sehr flott und der Co-Betrieb mit ner Voodoo5 5500 PCI funktioniert nun auch wieder problemlos.

Trotzdem gibts noch ein paar Unklarheiten:

(1) Kann ich im CCC irgendwie verschiedenen Anzeigegeräten unterschiedliche Farbsettings zuordnen? Denn anscheinend funzt das dem FP93GX+ über die Anzeigeeigenschaften zugeordnete Farbprofil nicht.

(2) Irgendwas hats mit dem Overlay. Mit anderen Worten: Es funktioniert nicht. Ich sehe weder eine Videovorschau im CCC, noch kann ich das Overlay beim DScaler nutzen (hat mit älteren Treibern problemlos funktioniert)

(3) Gibts bei aktuellen Catalysts ne Möglichkeit auf nem R580 EATM zu nutzen? Meinetwegen auch per Regkey.

für Crysis soll ein Fix im nächsten Crysis patch enthalten sien, damit Crossfire und SLI bei dem Spiel auch etwas bringen.
Wäre dann mal interessant ob 2 HD 3850 512 MB im Crossfire schneller sind als eine G92 GTS 512 MB. Der Anschaffungspreis wäre ja in etwa der gleiche.

Jedenfalls ist's schon ärgerlich, dass einfach nichts aus der Tüte gleich optimal funktioniert. Nichtmal der neueste Catalyst Treiber kann Crossfire auf allen Spielen optimal zum Einsatz bringen, da braucht's auch Patches von den Spieleherstellern.

Hab neuerdings ein 22" WS TFT und jetzt passt die Auflösung nicht mehr auf den TV (über TV-Out).

Der Theatre Mode ist leicht verzerrt, wei geht das weg?
