QuadBuffer aktivieren

hi,
ist es moeglich auf einer gf3 quadbuffering zu aktivieren (fuer stereo), ohne den quadrofix oder aehnliches zu benutzen. danke schon im vorraus ;)

edit: p.s. und ich weiss von dem stereotreiber, dieser aktiviert aber das quadbuffering nicht, dieser emuliert stereo nur im treiber, ohne kontrolle der anwendung.

Du kannst zwar manuell per Registry-Eintrag das Quadbuffered Stereo einstellen, jedoch wird es nicht aktiviert, wenn der Treiber keine Quadro entdeckt. Also hilft nur Softquadro bzw NVStrap.

so, hab mit dem rivatuner nvstrap aktiviert und windows sowie der rivatuner erkennen auch eine quadro DCC. nur im detonator wird immer noch GF3 angezeigt(auch nach neuinstall)... weiter funktioniert auch kein quadbuffer stereo, kannst du bitte mal den reg eintrag posten, denn ich hab nichts gefunden, mit was dies zu aktivieren geht... danke

Hast du auch alle nötigen Schritte ausgeführt?
Probier es bitte nochmal.

Unpack RivaTuner in separate folder and start RivaTuner.exe at least once, if you’ve never used this utility before. This step is needed to register RivaTuner Script (*.rts) files in your system, what will let you executing them directly from Windows Explorer.

• Unpack SoftQuadro4 Script Pack in the same folder, where RivaTuner is.

• Unpack Detonator driver distributive package in separate folder. To explain this to inexperienced users, we shall mention that some driver versions are distributed as an executable file, which is no more than just a self-extracting CAB-archive that can be unpacked manually by any archiver which is supporting this format (by WinZip, for instance).

• Make preparations to manually install unpacked driver. This step is necessary only when you are using Detonator 30.82 or higher under Windows 2000/XP. Starting from this version, NVIDIA compresses every file from the driver package, what makes impossible manual driver installation by using *.inf data. To prepare driver to the installation procedure which uses info file, copy UnpackDriver.bat file from SoftQuadro4 Script Pack in the driver folder and start it, or just execute the following commands, when you are in the driver folder:

• Start NVStrap antiprotection script from RivaTuner package (NVStrap antiprotection w9x.rts file for Windows 9x/ME or NVStrap antiprotection w2k.rts for Windows 2000/XP). You can do this by clicking needed file icon in Windows Explorer (scripts located in PatchScripts\NVIDIA\NVStrap subfolder of RivaTuner’s folder) or by pressing Open patch script button under PowerUser tab of RivaTuner:




• After you’ve started the script, press the Continue button and browse for location of the folder, where unpacked driver is. Application will automatically open and patch the needed file:





• It is important to say that the built in RivaTuner script interpreter is using OS functions to generate CRC of system files, so please don’t try to start Windows 2000/XP script under Windows 9x and vice versa, or CRC will be incorrect. Make sure that the script log doesn’t indicate any fatal error messages. Note, that WARNING: Certified patch script not found is not the fatal error, but a message indicating that script hasn’t been tested with the given driver version.

• Start SoftQuadro4 script intended for your OS (it is located in PatchScripts\NVIDIA\SoftQuadro4 subfolder of RivaTuner's folder) and repeat previous step.

• Install NVStrap driver from RivaTuner package and activate its PCI DeviceID reprogramming function. To do this under Windows 9x you will need to include NVStrap.com DOS driver file (it is located in Tools\NVStrap subfolder of RivaTuner’s folder) in the autoexec.bat file like this:

• If you are using Windows 2000/XP you can install and configure NVStrap through the driver configuration panel of RivaTuner:







• Please note that FAQ file included in the RivaTuner documentation contains the most frequently asked questions about NVStrap, so if you cannot install the driver because of something, please make sure you’ve carefully read supplied documentation and FAQ.

• After reboot Windows will find NVIDIA Quadro-based display adapter and ask you to install its driver.
