jau also,

ich mach grade mal wieder einen Linuxausflug und Fedora mag mich grade was ärgern.

Nämlich die composite extension soll nicht laufen. Naja so schauts bei mir aus:

Distribution: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)
Desktop environment: GNOME
Graphics chip: nVidia Corporation G80 [GeForce 8800 GTX] (rev a2)
Driver in use: nvidia
Rendering method: Nvidia

glxgears läuft wunderprächtig.

komisch!

vielleicht ist ein fehler bei der nivida-installation entstanden - auch wenns nicht so aussieht.

ansonsten einfach akmod deinstallieren & dann neu *click* (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=204752&highlight=composite+extension+fail+f14)

... wenns nicht hilft, würde ich das gleiche mit compiz versuchen. wenn du compiz-fusion installiert haben solltest - da gab es in der vergangenheit oftmals probleme mit inkompatibilitäten.
