Ich habe mit Quake 4 v1.4.2 immer Low Grafik egal was ich einstelle !! Keine Ahnung an was das liegt, kan einstellen was ich will es bleibt auf Low :mad: Ich hoffe es kann mir jemand helfen !!
Habe schon 2 Verschiedene Quake 4 Versionen versucht 1x die Cut Version und 1x die Uncut Version immer das selbe. Ist auch egal ob das Game gepatcht wird oder nicht.

Werde ich sofort testen

Hab jetzt etliche cfg´s getestet auch schreibgeschützt, es geht nicht immer Low Grafik obwohl Ingame Ultra steht und auch in der cfg das maximum eingestellt ist.

Probier es mal mit einer separaten autoexec.cfg, in die Du Deine settings hineinschreibst, schau auch mal bei tweakguides/quake4 dazu nach. Diese Settings werden bei jedem Start übernommen.

Vielleicht hängt es auch mit den zwei Verzeichnissen ab Patch 1.4.2 zusammen

Hab mal meine Doom³ Autoexec genommen, mit der geht es komischer weise !! Ich glaube es liegt an dem befehl : seta r_renderer "best" bin mir aber nicht zu 100% sicher.
Würde micht trotzdem Interessieren warum man die grafik nicht ganz normal Ingame ändern kann btw warum es nicht angenommen wird was man da einstellt

Finde ich auch merkwürdig. Ich kenne das Problem von D3/QIV (Prey und ETQW nicht) - da hat obiges bzw. Launch-Parameter i.d.R. gereicht.

Wie gerne hätte ich an Quake 4 gedocktert, aber die haben hier seid letzter Woche keins mehr reinbekommen.:frown:
War damals mein erstes Game für die 360, muss Hammer mit Sikkmod sein.

Bei Doom3 war bei mir nach der Neuinstallation unter vista64 auf einem anderem Laufwerk als dem Systemlaufwerk der Installationspfad schreibgeschützt, was imo auch die Ursache war, dass Doom3 bei mir zunächst immer in 640x480 startete. Ich weiß nicht, ob das normal ist und ob es bei Dir auch so ist, aber ggf. liegt es daran und Du probierst, ob es nach dem Aufheben des Schutzes klappt. Die Mod greift wohl auch in den Installationsordner ein, oder?

Ja stimmt der Ordner in dem Quake4 Installiert ist ist schreibgeschützt, wenn ich aber versuche das schreibgeschützt Häkchen rauszunehmen wird es nicht übernommen !
Hier mal der Installationspfad :
"M:\Program Files (x86)\Quake 4\ aber in dem gleichen Ordner (Program Files (x86)) ist auch Doom 3 ("M:\Program Files (x86)\DOOM 3\) und das macht keine Probleme.

So hab das Game jetzt mal au ner anderen Partition Installiert.
Ergebnis: Alle beim alten Egal welche Einstellung ich Ingame
vornehme die grafik bleibt auf low, obwohl in den Einstellungen Ultra steht

Hab auch verschiedene Treiber versucht z.B
301.10-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql und
301.42-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql mit dem Ergebnis : Wie oben :mad:

Mit Prey Vanilla ist alles IO auch mit sikkmod (keine fehler) ! Ich versteh es einfach nicht !! Warum geht das nicht mit Quake4 ??

Den Fehler Verursacher hab ich gefunden ! Lag an der In-GameOption "Multiple CPU/Core" ! Wenn die an ist bekomme ich die Fehler.
