This patch resolves the following issues:

Fixed crash related to conflict between MySim and Transportation Pack.
Fixed crash related to SIS video chipsets.
Fixed several broken links in advisor messages.
Fixed car zots to display properly.
Fixed bug where the catalog was showing the incorrect capacity for the Recycling Center.
Fixed bug where industry development would occur even when commuters could not reach the zone.
Added support for ATI Radeon R300 series that add backing store capability.
Added option to turn off auto-road when zoning behavior by holding the shift-key while zoning.
Added option to change orientation of lots when zoning by holding the alt-key while zoning.
Added whales.
Retuned pollution values for airports and seaports.
Port efficiency is now displayed correctly.
Airport upgrading now works correctly (based on current use).
Freight trains can now drop cargo at ports.
New zone graphics now better indicate the front of lots.

Puh, das wurde aber langsam Zeit.
Besonders die Straßensachen hat genervt.

na war doch nur ein kleines Fix der relativ schnell ging, warum nicht gleich so??
naja wenigstens stand das problem in der readme.. sie haben also wenigstens das Spiel kurz auf ATI Karten laufen lassen vor dem release..

Und wie siehts mit dem Support für die Radeon 8500 aus?
In der readme von SC4 steht AFAIR etwas davon, dass beim scrollen die Gebäude verschwinden und einige Garfikeffekte auf der Radeon Serie fehlen.
Ich bin nämlich noch am überlegen ob ich mir das Game nicht doch holen soll. So lange allerdings solche gravierenden Garfikfehler bzw. Einschränkungen auftreten, werde ich das Spiel aber schon aus Prinzip nicht kaufen.
Wäre deswegen ganz nett, wenn mir jemand sagen könnte wie die Lage derzeit mit 'nem R200 ist.

Na Super,

den r300 fix bekommt man auch hin indem man in der ini den Ati spezifischen Teil herrausnimmt.
Stand ca. 1-2 Tage nach erscheinem des Games auf irgendeiner Ami-Seite.
Habs gemacht und siehe da...keine Grafikprobleme auch mit einem r300.
(Und das ohne Patch.....)

Dannn sieht man auch gleich das nicht nur der R300 Fehler behoben wurde sondenr auch andere Sachen... Und der Patch keineswegs nur wegen diesem einen Problem rauskam, so wie es sich in deinem Thread anhört.

keine Ahnung, muss irgendwas mit der Art zu tun haben, wie Informationen (aus dem BackBuffer?) beim scrolling gespeichert werden.

Das hat sich bisher nicht mit ATI's tiling metthode (wo auch immer) verstanden.
