Hier mein Resultat:
Topic:
How will ever increasing computing power affect our society?
Microcomputers:
They are everywhere and invisible. Computers of the future will be very
small and completely connected. Users don't see them but nothing is working
without them and they already revolutionized our society.
In the future computers will be everywhere but nowhere. They are getting
smaller and smaller and within the next 25 Years we will carry a computing
power as great as all computers on this planet right now, just in the place of
one single button cell. Even when you can't see them, they are there. Today, even in a car are
more than 80 small computers. Every single of them degreeds the computing
power of the whole world in 1980.
Social Media:
With these great new opportunities the time for new ideas has come. In 2004 Facebook and other big social networks grew out of the ground. Today, they connect us
everywhere through our mobile devices like Smartphone's. We are
always available and connected in a way like never before. Modern Search Engines give us access to almost limitless information. Maybe you already heard of the butterfly effect. "Even the flutter of a butterfly's wings can cause a hurricane on the other side of the world." It's the same with social media in the internet. If you write your opinion in a newsgroup or social network it could spread all over the world and cause large-scale political changes.
Future possibilities:
Within the next years new devices will appear which will allow us to communicate and use computers more intuitive than ever before. They could get like a part of our own body.
Thus, the influence of social networks on the Internet will probably get even stronger. For example, let's take a look on the Google Glasses, giving you the opportunities of a Smartphone without even using a touch screen. The pictures will be displayed right in your field*of*view. But I think, this is just the beginning. The Google Glasses are controlled over voice. But there are already existing technologies allowing you to control computers just by your thoughts. It would surprise me when we don't see these things in consumer products in the next years.*
Will computers steal our jobs?
Many people are worried about the future, their job's could be taken over by machines. They care that fewer vacancies could exist, because only a few experts are needed. The gap between rich and poor could increase dramatically. But you can also look at it from the other side of the coin, people have to work less overall and maintain their living standards nonetheless. Maybe sometimes there will be no need to work much for your money and at some point, humanity is perhaps exempt from work.
Shouldn't this be the goal of economy? Like Götz Werner said: "The task of the economy is not to create jobs but to liberate the people from work."
