Jules Urbach: I'm a programmer-developer at heart. I started doing videogames when I was 18. The first game I programmed was called Hell Cab. It was released in 1993 and it was a CD-Rom, back in the days of Myst, when those other types of titles were being published.
I always wanted to improve the rendering on games, and that led to me creating a plug-in for what was then Macromedia Shockwave, and that allowed us to do 3D rendering inside a browser - and that got me thinking about how to do even higher-end rendering, server-side on the cloud.
