Hallo,

mir wird die CPU zu warm und verbraucht "zu viel" Strom.
Damit meine ich, dass ich es gern den Verbrauch auf max. 200W unter Volllast reduzieren würde.

Leider bekomme ich keine "fixen" Wattwerte, da die CPU - unter selben Bedingungen - unterschiedlich viel zieht.
Mal sind es 195W in Prime, dann Reboot und er zieht 220W :confused:
Natürlich ohne etwas zu im BIOS zu ändern.
Ergo muss es da irgendwo einen Automatik geben.

Ich habe soweit es geht natürlich die ganzen AI-Auto-Tuning Sachen deaktiviert, aber irgendwo ist da noch etwas...

Prime95 bekomme ich überhaupt nur stabil zum Durchlaufen wenn ich einen AVX-Offset von +20 setze... :eek:

Die Ram laufen auch mit 5000, dazu muss ich aber mehr Saft geben, 4200 reicht mir aktuell.
Wenn jemand natürlich auch da einen Trick kennt: Immer her damit bitte!

Long Duration Package Power Limit -> setzte hier dein Limit in Watt (wegen meiner 125 W)
Short Duration Package Power Limit [Auto] hier das 1,25 fache von Long (125 x 1,25 = 155 W)
Performance Core Ratio [By Core Usage] -> AUTO (wozu denn bitte so viele Kerne bei 5,5 GHz)

Leider bekomme ich keine "fixen" Wattwerte, da die CPU - unter selben Bedingungen - unterschiedlich viel zieht.
Mal sind es 195W in Prime, dann Reboot und er zieht 220W :confused:
Natürlich ohne etwas zu im BIOS zu ändern.
Ergo muss es da irgendwo einen Automatik geben.
hört sich so an, als würde das system nicht stabil laufen und mal mit 2 verschiedenen bios configs booten, einmal angepasst, und das andere mal stock, weil es bootfails gab? ansonsten kann ich mir das verhalten nicht erklären.

Ich reboote und dann ist es mal so, dann wieder reboot, dann so - ich verstehe es nicht.
LinPack, MemTest86 und Prime95 laufen mit den oben genannten Settings durch.

Ich habe aber noch nie davon gehört, dass ein Board mit 2 verschiedneen Configs "heimlich" ohne den Benutzer zu benachrichtigen bootet.

Bei einem Fail - z.B. zu heftig OC oder bei der RAM Clock - wird in den Safe-Mode gepostet und ohne F1 und BIOS Enter komm ich nicht ins OS.

Das ist doch Temperaturabhängig.

Wenn die Temp niedriger ist, boostet er höher, was die Stromaufnahme und damit die Leistungsaufnahme erhöht.

Ich habe jetzt mal mit deinen Empfehlungen gespielt.

Ich komme auf ca. 3,87% (Single Core) bis 6,99% (Multi Core) Leistungseinbußen, wenn ich ihn auf 168/210W festnagle und deine anderen Empfehlungen berücksichtige - ergibt 18,44 % / 17,56 % weniger Watt.

Die Temperaturen & Verbrauch sind natürlich wesentlich geringer.

Ich habe mich die letzten 1,5 Tage mit Tuning und Tests in Cinebench sowie prime95 abgeplagt.
Verbrauch ist noch immer limitiert, konnte aber den Verlust quasi egalisieren:

2,87 % Multi Core und 1,95 % Single Core weniger Leistung bei 168W/210W anstatt bei 256W.

das ist richtig. wenn die wakü sich aufgewärmt hat, wird jeder run langsamer, vorallendingen wenn du das templimit reduzierst.
