Winamp 2.92 erschienen

Es ist mal wieder eine neue Winamp 2.x Version erschienen. Auf der Page von Winamp kann man die zwar noch nicht runterladen, aber man findet sie hier:

Winamp 2.92:
* startup with hung winamp process in background fixed
* CD ripping support in media library (with OGG Vorbis encoding support)
* Preliminary AAC playback support added to in_mp3.dll
* media library bugfixes and improvements (listener count in internet *, etc)
* ryan fixed shuffle again
* minibrowser ctrl+l fix.
* nsv: subtitle bugfixes, more buffering options, shoutcast metadata support,
better invalid bitstream handling, better display options, new ASYN aux
chunk handling.
* nsv: support for new extended TOC with frame-accurate seeking
* video: overlay fixes on 556 and other unusual modes, drag&drop URL
to video window now works. Subtitle fixes.
* cdda: bugfixes
* AVS evallib | and & operator fixes
* in_vorbis fixes

Es wurden zumindest einige Bugs beseitigt, ansonsten kommt es darauf an wofür du Winamp nutzt, bzw ob du z.B. auch Videos mal damit schauen willst oder die Library verwenden willst oder ... schau am besten selber was sich da getan hat :)

* hot new default skin, done by none other than the evil robot turned good, Steve Gedikian
* added integrated full featured video support (NSV and DirectShow (AVI,ASf,MPEG,etc))
* added library (complete with media database, shoutcast listing, playlist editing,
CD listing, mass tag editting, plugin API for portable devices, and more!)
* updated Winamp's window docking code to be more robust/extensible
- made AVS dock use this new API
* updated PCM equalizer with code from 4Front Technologies/George Yohng. Quality is a lot better.
* updated equalizer default skin to show the true +12db/-12db range (the 20db was a veeery old typo)
* a ton of new WM_WA_IPC API calls.
- general purpose plugin window support
- extended metadata system for getting more than just title/length of items.
- lots of exposed features via IPC
* updated to PP's latest input and output plugins
* focus/Z order change on window close related bugfixes

* added ultravox support for in_mp3
* made in_mp3 not display 'unknown X' for empty id3 tags
* installer uses leet new NSIS 2.0b3
* improvements to the setup process
* made the keep on screen code multimonitor smart and better
* fixed & error in tooltips in winamp and winampa's systray icons

wichtig ist vor allem der cd-ripping support =)
das ist mal so richtig goil. brauch ich nicht ständig zu suchen, wenn ich mal ne audio cd da hab. hab sonst nämlich keinen ripper auf der platte.

Unterstützt der dann auch die direkte Komprimierung mit Lame oder Ogg?

Edit: Lesen müsste man können, also Ogg-Vorbis unterstützt er anscheinend.

Ich warte dann mal, bis es die Version offiziell auf der Winamp Seite gibt. Bin auch mit der 2.91er sehr zufrieden.

also bei mir funktioniert das bestens.

unter input in den options "CD/line in" wählen, unter configure dort enable digital audio extraction einstellen (vor allem wichtig, wenn man kein analog kabel verlegt hat, wie ich :) ), unter output noch den diskwriter aktivieren und fertig.

hm, das encoden scheint nicht zu funktionieren. jedenfalls hab ich noch nicht rausgefunden, wie das gehen soll.

Beim Diskwriter kann man doch das Ausgabeformat einstellen und so jeden Codec unter Windows verwenden (zumindest ist es so noch bei der 2.91er)

ja, habs. aber dass er das direkt beim rippen macht, geht wohl nicht.

man kann ja beim rippen zumindest dort in den einstellungen einstellen, ob wav oder ogg erzeugt werden soll. hat aber wohl noch keine unktion :(

Tja war wiedermal zu blöd input und output einzustellen. Hab in meiner naiven Art gedacht, es langt einfach mal auf "Encode" klicken und gut is ;D
