Anforderungen (um halbwegs flüssig zu spielen):
"I.4 Ghz, 256Mb, 128Mb video... although the precise specifications will only be known close to the end of the project."
Gameplay:
"Many will be surprised that we call Stalker an RPG, though we do not give the player growing skills or levels. We are doing this on purpose. We have a justification for such a decision. We want the player to improve his real skills; we want him to survive in the game because of his real abilities, not ones of his virtual avatar. Our opinion is such that a role-playing game becomes such only when the player has a chance to choose his own role in our dangerous world.
In the game, the main part of the playing process is survival of the player. For us, it is first of all survival in the Zone, scrupulous planning of the equipment, careful movement, avoiding of fights with strong opponents, and the first partners on the way - hunger, wounds, and death. There is a deficit of ammunition in the Zone. Every bullet counts. Everywhere are stalking, peeking, quick rushes. Every stalker knows that it is easier to go around a wondering pack than mow it down. Stalker is not a commando, he survives, not burns down. For example, in locations of high anomaly concentration it is scary to even breath, and a spontaneous, unthoughtful movement may lead to instantaneous death. Stalker needs rest and food. Without rest a stalker may loose consciousness, and without food he may die of hunger. One of interesting novelties is the ability to eat meat of small animals (crows and rats)."

Mann, mit dem Spiel legen die Entwickler die Meßlatte HÖHER. Da lohnt sich doch das Warten & Aufrüsten. ;)
