Hallo ihr "Profis",
wer kann einem verzweifelten User helfen ? Da ich das Problem nicht richtig lokalisieren kann, habe ich es einfach in das Forum mit den meisten postings gestellt.

Also: Ich habe einen Athlon 1200c auf ein elite K7VTA3 mit 512 DDR, und eine Gforce3 ti 200 ( alles weitere in der MSinfo und Dxdiag), Soundblaster!live ( gibt es zu der LIVE dx8.1 optimierte Treiber?)

Nun habe ich seit fast seit anfang an folgende probleme:
Mein System "friert" von zeit zu zeit ein, soll heißen ich kann es dann nur wieder booten. Maus, grafik, etc.... Das tritt besonders bei 3D Spielen häufiger auf.
Dann ist mir bei Sandras "RAM-Test" aufgefallen, das mein System nur ca. 500 punkte anzeigt, und die Vergleichsysteme so bei ca. 1300 liegen.

Ich habe es schon mit BIOS-update, neuen Via 4in1 Treibern, den unterschiedlichsten Detonator Treibern versucht, aber keine Chance ein stabiles System zu bekommen.

Wer kann mir helfen ???????????

Klingt irgendwie nach einen Temperaturproblem. Mach mal dein Gehäuse auf, stell einen Ventilator so hin, daß er auf den offenen Computer bläst und lass ihn nochmal laufen.

Dann fällt mir natürlich das RAM auf...
512MB DDR...
Sind das 2 Riegel, oder nur einer ?
Wenn es zwei sind, schon mal versucht, jeweils nur eines zu nehmen ?
(dann man den Sandra-Test wiederholen)

Auch ist es sehr wichtig, daß die RAM-Basteine vom gleichen Typ sind...
(kann sonst zu Problemen kommen, muß aber nicht)

Genau, da ist was faul. Bei meinem XP-System zeigt er mehr als 512 an (gucke nie so genau, aber es muß mehr anzeigen als die Module nominell haben, liegt an der doofen Byte- und Bitrechnerei, werde ich nie kapieren, hehe)

Wie Razor schon sagte, mal einen Riegel raus. Evtl auch zahme Settings probieren (Load Bios defaults oder dergl)

Einmal hat er 510 mal 511 eventuell hat er den Speicherbereich eben unter Windows genau auf 510 mb begrenzt. Aber warum dann die 511 ?
@Piffan 512 mb sind 524288 kb wenn du ein Intel sys hast wäre es sogar möglich das dir nur 512000 kb angezeigt werden da Intel 1 MB mit 1000 Kb umrechnet.

Jepp, mein Win98 ist der beste Beweis dafür. :D Probleme kann es geben wenn man darüber geht. Dann muss man die Grösse für den VCache auf 512 MB begrenzen.

Bei manchen laufen 250W Doch es sollye schon 300Watt sein oder besser 400Watt

Dann ist mir bei Sandras "RAM-Test" aufgefallen, das mein System nur ca. 500 punkte anzeigt, und die Vergleichsysteme so bei ca. 1300 liegen.

Ich habe es schon mit BIOS-update, neuen Via 4in1 Treibern, den unterschiedlichsten Detonator Treibern versucht, aber keine Chance ein stabiles System zu bekommen.

Wer kann mir helfen ???????????

Und Zwar isr dein NetzTEIL WArscheinlich zu Schwach .
Takte mal Den PROC runter so auf 500 MHz Und Teste mal dann
Bei manchen laufen 250W Doch es sollye schon 300Watt sein oder besser 400Watt

Ich hatte da gleiche Prob!

Kann auch am aktivierten STPGNT (Halt bzw. Stromsparmodus) des Prozessors liegen. Damit hatte ich auch dauernd freezes.
Überprüfen anhand der idle-Temperatur. Liegt die idle-Temp über 40Grad isser aus - wies sein sollte bei den schnelleren Athlons.

Dann evtl. Netzteil, RAM etc, wie oben vorgeschlagen.
