ActivisionI don't understand, everyone is comparing this to the Xbox version of Halo -- its a PC game, when it became that all bets were off. This game is for PC, and PC standards is what Gearbox should've been striving for. Unfortunately, Gearbox figured they could just pass it off saying its better than the Xbox version, well that isn't enough. PC standards aren't Xbox standards and that's all there is too that. Locking frames at 30FPS -- that isn't what a PC gamer is used to, the typical PC gamer is used to playing on par with 60FPS all the time, he isn't an XBOX gamer, and thats what Gearbox doesn't understand. What mainstream PC game can't manager to maintain and hold 60FPS on even an average system? Battlefield 1942, Americas Army, MOH:AA, they all seem to perform that task fine, however Halo, on the most high-end hardware can't manage to hold 60FPS 50% of the time, PC gamers aren't going to change to accomodate for Gearbox's misconceptions. Just holding onto the fact that the success of the Xbox version of Halo isn't enough to justify the subpar implementation of the PC version. A 2-year delay and we are left with this, a mildy unfinished product with sound issues, netcode failures and graphical errors. PC gamers aren't going to change to play one more FPS shooter, they already have enough -- like I said at the start of the project, 'Go big or go bust, This'll be tough to live up to.'
Ob es wirklich von Brian Kelly ist kann momentan niemand sagen, Inhaltlich ist es aber sicher richtig.
