LAN Kopiergeschwindigkeit reduziert bei Streamingdiensten

Hallo!

Ich habe ein Problem mit der Netzwerkgeschwindigkeit unter Windows 7 Ultimate x64:

Sobald ein Streamingdienst läuft (z.B. Winamp), sackt die Kopiergeschwindigkeit (hier über SMB) im LAN auf 4 - 8 MB pro Sekunde.

Wenn ich nun aber den Stream stoppe, habe ich wieder meine 50 MB pro Sekunde.

Was kann ich dagegen tun?

Windows Vista throttles the network interfaces while audio is playing in order to maintain audio quality and prevent network interrupts interrupting media playback. By default, this limits the network receive speed to 10% of its maximum - 100Mbps on gigabit ethernet, and 10Mbps on fast ethernet - but since Vista SP1 you can alter that percentage by changing a registry value:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\NetworkThrottlingIndex

Change it to a value between 1 and 100 (and then reboot) to set the maximum downstream network bandwidth that can be used while playing audio. Not an ideal solution, but better than having none at all...


Hab es in Windows 7 nicht getestet, der Key ist jedoch da und bei mir auf der Arbeit auf 10% gesetzt.

Ich frage mich echt welcher Hirnfreak bei Vista auf solche kack Ideen gekommen ist. Was man da im SPW7 alles bearbeiten muss ist abnormal.

Ich hab sachlich gerade den selben Fehler beseitigt aber die richtige Antwort steht ja schon drin. Und ganz sachlich sind solche "Feature" einfach nur Müll.

Vielleicht sollte Microsoft dich als Consultant einstellen. Du scheinst ja besser zu wissen was die machen sollen als jeder andere. Und dein enormes Ausdrucksvermögen würde dich als absoluten Renner auf jeder Pressekonferenz qualifizieren.

(Nein, ich habe auch keine Ahnung wozu dieses Feature gut sein soll, aber ich kann meine Sprache halbwegs im Zaum halten, und ich behaupte nicht die Weisheit mit Löffeln gefressen zu haben)
