Also man merkt jetzt mit jeder Version dass die richtig viel Arbeit rein stecken. Ich nutze mittlerweile seit ~2 Wochen vermehrt Vivaldi und starte Opera oder Edge nur noch sehr selten. :up:
Auf meinem Handy gibt es leider keine Alternative zu Edge.

Mir fehlen immer noch Optionen wie eine scrollbare Tableiste, Sync, eigene Interfaces für Dinge wie den Passwortmanager, das Beheben nerviger Bugs wie dem Topfiles-Bug oder dass manche Tabs, die nicht hibernaten dürfen, zwangshibernieren müssen etc.

Zudem ist Vivaldi seit Chromium 52 praktisch unbenutzbar für mich, weil die Flag #ignore-gpu-blacklist im Gegensatz zu Chrome und Opera nicht funktioniert und ich deshalb keine Hardwarebeschleunigung mehr bekomme :ugly:

Viel zu tun die Jungs noch haben...

Mir fehlen immer noch Optionen wie eine scrollbare TableistePack die Tableiste an die Seite, da kann man sie scrollen. Ich finde dort ist sie bei unseren breiten Monitoren eh am besten platziert.

Benutze ihn seit 1.0 als mein Haupt-Browser um meinen Opera 12 endgültig abzusetzen. Bin zufrieden, obwohl er nicht alles mitbringt was Opera hatte.

Das ist eine der Sachen, die ich meinte, obwohl man da fairer Weise sagen muss, dass viele Webseiten heute responsive sind, und sich daher von Haus aus an die Browserbreite anpassen, weshalb das mittlerweile verschmerzbar ist.

Aber die seitenspezifischen Einstellungen z.B. waren bei Opera umfangreicher. Sowohl für Userscripts als auch CustomCSS braucht es jetzt ein Plugin. Die hätte ich lieber im Browser, weil ich denen keinen Zugriff auf HTTPS Seiten geben möchte. YT mit weißem HG ist aber einfach bäh.

Unter Linux ist das Smooth-Scrolling schlecht und für Auto-Scroll braucht's auch ein Plugin (Firefox bringt das mit).

Ein paar Sachen hab ich bestimmt vergessen, aber sonst gefällt er mir im Großen und Ganzen. Nett ist z.B. dass er YT-Videos, die im HG-Tab geöffnet werden erst abspielt, wenn man den Tab aktiv schaltet.

Man kann den DAU User ja auch mal ignorieren. Außerdem wäre das logischste dann, das Feature standardmäßig deaktiviert zu lassen und tief in den configs zu verstecken. ;)

Vor ein paar Tagen ging er plötzlich wieder nach dem letzten Win10 Update - ich lass den Laptop stehen, komm nach einer Weile zurück, wecke ihn aus dem Standby auf: Vivaldi zu, und wieder tot. Nase voll von dem Scheiß.

Sowohl auf meinem Heim-Windows wie auch Linuxserver daheim geht ein Download der Datei nicht.
Auf meinem Linuxserver (im Hetzner RZ) funktioniert der Link.
Ich vermute es liegt an irgendeinem Problem der Telekom die ich als Provider habe, da geht ja auch abends mal Youporntube nur extra lahm.

Hm. Okay. Das Problem habe ich z.B. nicht. Bei mir kann der Installer nur keinen Temp-Unterordner erstellen. Also such ich die exe manuell und starte sie mit rechtsklick "als Administrator ausführen" - und das obwohl ich mit Administrator-Konto eingeloggt bin (damit meine ich den Namen, nicht nur die Rechte).

Ja, er ist leider noch nicht annähernd so flüssig wie Chrome (oder auch ein gut konfigurierter Firefox mit e10s). Insbesondere das Interface ist einfach nicht snappy genug.

Merwürdiger Weise kam das erst nach und nach. Beim Wechsel von Chrome auf Vivaldi hatte ich dieses Gefühl nicht. Vielleicht versuche ich es mit Version 2.0 noch mal. Irgendwie habe ich im Moment das Gefühl ich müsste von Google weg. Und immer wieder muss ich dann doch feststellen, das Google für mich das geeignetste Produkt bereit hält. Beängstigend! :confused:

So toll wie bei der Konkurrenz ist der Readermode noch nicht. Der schmeißt auch viele zum Text gehörende Bilder und andere Elemente einfach weg und beim Verlassen lädt er die Seite komplett neu.

Bin mal gespannt wann endlich ein großes neues Feature wie Sync kommt.

Yeah, green means it's a "soprano" build, so, internal test. That's why you also have M3 enabled. This was an error on the build bot, it created the wrong build for the snapshot.
The green icon stands for internal builds where we currently testing mail. It’s still in a very raw state and we would have preferred you’d see it at a later stage. Work is in progress.

Kann sein, aber man kann ja auch erstmal ohne anfangen. So wie es in Thunderbird integriert ist finde ich es jedenfalls sinnlos. Dort ist es nämlich ein Program im anderen, die am Ende nichts voneinander wissen. Das braucht doch niemand. Gibt schon genug Instant Messenger.

Weiß nicht. Vielleicht hat Youtube auch irgendwelche Scripts geändert, die aus irgendeinem Grund dann nicht neu geladen wurden, so dass es zu Problemen kam.

Ich hab folgende bugs bei mir:

Nutze ich ("Fast-Forward") Mouse Gesten (z.b. auf heise.de/newsticker) -> Danach ändert sich der Mouse-Cursor über Links nicht mehr

Immer wieder öffnen sich Links von geschlossenen Seiten, wenn man auf der neuen Seite Mousegesten nutzt (auch auf eine Links-plaztierten-Tab-Bar)

Die Standard Darstellung ist mir zu groß. Stelle ich in Settings-> Webpages -> Default Zoom auf 80% ist es ok.. dieser wird aber auf "neu geöffnete Links (Middle-click)"-nicht übernommen -> diese sind dann wieder auf 100%

Kennt das jemand? (bevor ich Bug reports öffne..)

Weil - wie hier in dem Thread zu verfolgen war - mir das Teil schon drei mal irreparabel abgeschmiert ist. Nur komplette Deinstallation mit Löschen aller Userdateien und dann saubere Neuinstallation hat es auch jetzt wieder zum Laufen gebracht. Und den f*cking Flashplayer kann ich wohl noch 10 Mülliarden mal in allen Varianten installieren, ohne dass er in Vivaldi läuft.

Genau so ging es mir auch immer. Aber im Moment finde ich ihn besser als Chrome. Vivaldi will einfach zu viel gleichzeitig können, genau wie das alte Opera das sie ersetzen wollen. Da sind viel zu viele Funktionen drin die niemand braucht, nur um anders zu sein. Sie sollten Vivaldi erstmal stabil machen.

Find cool, dass Videos auf YT, die man in einem neuen Hintergrund-Tab öffnet erst abgespielt werden, wenn man den Tab auswählt. So kann man mehrere Videos aufrufen, ohne dass man mit Audio zugeballert wird.

Pfff, jeder andere Browser macht das klaglos mit! An Extensions verwende ich nichts außer Adblock (und den pdf-reader und so, was vorinstalliert ist).

Ich kann das Problem an zwei Laptops mit Win10 64Bit nicht reproduzieren, hatte aber schon mal das Problem dass beim starten des Browser der Adblocker ständig abgeschmiert ist und den ganzen Browser mitgerissen hat. Nach nem Neustart lief dann wieder alles wie gewohnt.

Ich habe meine Tabs am rechten Rand und so viele davon auf, dass ich dafür einen Scrollbalken habe. X-D
Wann immer ich in einem der unteren Tabs ein Video (z.B. YouTube) auf Vollbild und wieder zurück schalte, ist der Scrollbalken wieder ganz nach oben gerutscht.
Tritt so schon immer auf und auch noch mit 1.5 :rolleyes:

Habt ihr mit 1.5 auch das Problem, dass falsch geschriebene Worte nicht immer erkannt werden? Habe es schon auf der Arbeit gemerkt und hier auch. Meistens ist alles okay, manchmal aber nicht, dann wird z.B. "mwehr" ("mehr") nicht angestrichen.

Minor update to Vivaldi 1.5 - delta (small) update for Windows
Yesterday we released a minor upgrade to Vivaldi 1.5 to fix a few, small but important issues found in the stable release. It was also the first time we tested our new delta update system on Windows.

A normal upgrade of Vivaldi for Windows using our default packages would have resulted in a 38.5Mb download, however the delta upgrade is less than 1% of that size (323Kb). So small in fact that it would have fit on a floppy disk!

Wusste gar nicht, dass es dafür eine Extension gibt. Schau ich mir bei meinem nächsten Linux-Ausflug mal an, thx.
Ich empfinde das Firefox-Verhalten dabei auch als angenehmer, das reagiert direkter und genauer (wie halt so manches).
Dafür ist aber wohl das OpenGL-Rendering von Chromium schon wesentlich weiter entwickelt als das von Firefox. Letzterer ruckelt sich auf Android und Linux halt einen ab (auch mit skia für Content mit FF 51).

Meine Befürchtung ist aber, dass dieser Mail-Client, wenn er wie der Rest des UI mit "Webtechnologien" gebaut wird, elend langsam sein wird wenn ma richtig viele Mails drin hat. X-D

Mache ich auch, mit gefällt der Mailclient sehr. Zum normalen Surfen aber oft nicht mehr zu gebrauchen und Security Bugs werden auch nicht mehr gefixt darum verwende ich dafür immer öfter Chrome. Aber als Mail Client bleibt es oben, warte hier auch auf Vivaldi dass M3 kommt.

Habe hier und auf der Arbeit auf 1.7 stable geupdatet und alles läuft, nur eine Kleinigkeit stört mich: Nach jedem Download und sogar nach jedem abgespeicherten Bild geht jetzt unten in der Ecke ein Popup auf. Kann man das deaktivieren? Das Zahnradsymbol darauf führt nur zu den Benachrichtigungseinstellungen für einzelne Webseiten.

Es nervt echt, dass immernoch kein Farbmanagement (in vollem Umfang) unterstützt wird. Wie viele WCG Monitore müssen erst noch verkauft werden bis Vivaldi oder Chromium es einsehen? Kann doch nicht so schwierig sein Bilder, die kein Farbprofil haben, einfach wie sRGB zu behandeln, oder? So macht es Firefox schon seit langem. Farbprofile werden ja schließlich bereits unterstützt.

Das hat mich auch arg genervt und ja, das Zahnrad ist absolut nicht hilfreich. Abschalten ist aber recht einfach: In den Optionen unter Downloads den Haken bei "Notify on Completed Downloads" weg machen.

Das hat mich auch arg genervt und ja, das Zahnrad ist absolut nicht hilfreich. Abschalten ist aber recht einfach: In den Optionen unter Downloads den Haken bei "Notify on Completed Downloads" weg machen.So einfach kann's sein... :D
Dabei könnte ich schwören ich hätte in den Einstellungen nach "download" gesucht... X-D

Ja das stimmt. Jedoch ist es ein kleines Team und man braucht erst mal die Basis. Ausserdem hab ich ja z.B. auch keine Eile. Thunderbird ist ja ganz gut zu gebrauchen für meine Bedürfnisse. Gut Ding will Weile haben. :)

Ich will vor allem eine scrollbare Tableiste und Sync. Zudem wäre es nett wenn man für grundlegende Dinge wie die Historyseite eine eigene Lösung statt die von Chromium anbieten könnte, diese Dinge finde ich dort nämlich ganz schlecht gelöst.

Finde die Tableiste am seitlichen Rand auch nicht schlecht. Aber auch das hat Mozilla mit dem Firefox-Experiment Tab Center IMO besser umgesetzt.
Das ist aus meiner Sicht halt so ein wenig das Problem von Vivaldi: Unzählige Features, aber viele nur halb zu Ende gedacht und damit in der täglichen Benutzung oft nervig und unperformant.

Irgendwie bekomme ich immer mehr Probleme mit Vivaldi, was Videowiedergabe angeht. Vivaldi und Flashplayer stehen total auf Kriegsfuß. Oft genug stürzt mir das Plugin während der Wiedergabe ab; bzw., nur das Bild ist weg, der Ton läuft weiter. Dann hilft nur ein Vivaldi-Neustart. Oder gerade hatte ich den ARD livestream im Vollbild laufen, wollte wieder raus aus der Vollbildansicht -> Absturz. Das nervt schon sehr.

In der Quelle ist ja auch bereits Banding enthalten, das stimmt. Dieses wird durch den Vivaldi-Zoom aber noch mal deutlich verstärkt, durch den von FF hingegen nicht.

Weiß jemand, ob es eine Einstellung gibt, dass durch Links geöffnete Tabs die Zoomstufe des Originaltabs übernehmen? Ich habe standardmäßig 150% eingestellt, aber es gibt ein paar Websites, die damit noch immer sehr klein sind. Bei Newsseiten, wo ich dann zig Links öffne ist es lästig, für jeden Tab erneut extra zu zoomen.

Toller Browser, hab FF endlich deinstalliert. Leider sind die Extension im Chrome Market eher schlecht als gut. Gibt z.B nur 1x Zoom addon .. im Opera Browser klickt man doppelt mit der rechten Maustaste und die Seite wird angepasst (Breite 150%) und so auch abgespeichert.

Evtl. gibt es das Plugin auch fuer Chrome/Vivaldi "QuickieZoom (https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/quickiezoom/?display=en)" Wenn ja, nur her damit.

Mir fehlt nach wie vor echter Fortschritt in dem ganzen Projekt. Das Ding ist immer noch verbuggt ohne Ende, teils unperformant und es fehlen unzählige Funktionen abgesehen vom optischen Bling-Bling.

Ne, in dem speziellen Fall gibt es ein Vorbild in Sachen Lesezeichenleiste: Opera! Die ist dort ab Werk richtig mächtig. Selbst die von Firefox muss ich erst mit Add-on (Stay-Open Menu) noch so hinbiegen, dass sie den Umfang von Operas bietet. Aber immerhin: Bei Firefox GEHT das.

Und ganz ehrlich: Selbst Chrome/Chromium hat eine bessere (bzw. leicht funktionsreichere) Leiste als Vivaldi, wenn ich mich recht erinnere. Daher verstehe ich das schon gleich doppelt nicht.

Ne, in dem speziellen Fall gibt es ein Vorbild in Sachen Lesezeichenleiste: Opera! Die ist dort ab Werk richtig mächtig. Selbst die von Firefox muss ich erst mit Add-on (Stay-Open Menu) noch so hinbiegen, dass sie den Umfang von Operas bietet. Aber immerhin: Bei Firefox GEHT das.

Und ganz ehrlich: Selbst Chrome/Chromium hat eine bessere (bzw. leicht funktionsreichere) Leiste als Vivaldi, wenn ich mich recht erinnere. Daher verstehe ich das schon gleich doppelt nicht.

Bei Twitch "sieht" es bei mir so aus.
Wenn auf Twitch.com gehe sehe ich oben wo normalerweise die paar vorgeschlagenen Kanäle laufen nur einen schwarzen Block.
Wenn ich dann darunter in den verschiedenen Spielen auf eines der Logos klicke macht Vivaldi ein Fenster auf und lädt sich "tot", sprich Endlosschleife. Das Bild im Browser ist dabei komplett weiß.

Hallo, gibt es ein Vollbildmodus beim Vivaldi Browser?
Also ein Bildmodus, der zwar oben die Tab-Leiste sichtbar hat, aber unten keine Win 8 Taskleiste .

Ich brauch die Taskleiste von Windows nicht zum spielen und sie nervt einfach nur. Hab mir doch nicht den größten Bildschirm gehlt, um die Taksleiste zu betrachten.
Bei Firefox gehts über über config, Vivaldi scheint mir aber fast eher wie Google Chrom zu sein, mit flags .... wie mach ich das hier, das die win 8 Taskleiste sich hinter dem Browserfenster befindet ?

Da mein Firefox kaputt ist bei einem einzigen Spiel und ich zur Zeit mit ner recht alten Firefox Version spielen muß, da neueere Versionen nicht gehen, such ich eine Alternative. Ich mußte das automatische updaten von Firefox deaktivieren und leider wird die alte Firefox Version immer inkompaktibler zb mit Adobe flash (brauch jetzt auch alte flash Version)

Ich hätte gern oben Tabs und dadrunter die Leiste wo https://www.forum-3dcenter... etz steht. Mehr nicht!
Ich brauch weder die Flacker-Leiste unten links, die mir anzeigt, welche Seite er ansteuert (URL- statusanzeige oder ähnlich heißt die glaub ich), noch irgendwelche komischen Email-Spalten (hab ich in Seamonkey und bisher nie geschafft damit eine Email zu versenden, .. ist unnötig. m.M.)

Unless you’re controlling your new tab behavior with an extension, you probably land on your Start Page as often as you open a new tab. And that’s at least a couple of dozen times a day, right?

We know that many of you like to tinker with just about anything in the Vivaldi browser, so we thought it was about time we gave you more control over how those Speed Dial thumbnails look on your Start Page.

Let’s say the thumbnail of the website you’ve added to your Speed Dial has way too many small details that make it difficult to see what’s inside. Or maybe you simply don’t like the look of that thumbnail and would like to replace it with a picture of a kitten. All you need to do now is right-click on the thumbnail or use the small (+) at the bottom left corner of the speed dial and choose “Select Custom Thumbnail” from the dropdown menu to replace it with an image of your choice. You can even have an animated GIF there if you like – the choice is yours!

Address Bar dropdown list
Another addition in today’s snapshot is the ability to turn off bookmarks and typed history from the Address Bar dropdown list. It’s a nice little feature that lets you be in control of what you want to see when you start typing in your Address Bar and that dropdown list appears.

Today’s snapshot brings more customization options for Speed Dials.
In last week’s snapshot, we revealed a much-requested new feature that let you chose custom thumbnails for your Speed Dials.

Next logical step that many of you have pointed out to us? Custom thumbnails for Speed Dial folders, of course! We listened to your feedback and we were quick to act. As some of you may have noticed, the visual aesthetics of the Speed Dial folders very much depend on what kind of webpages you choose to add to them. If it’s a page that generates a nice, bold thumbnail that doesn’t lose its attractiveness even when scaled down to fit a Speed Dial folder, great. What if it contains lots of text? What if all the top four webpages in your Speed Dial folder are text-heavy?

One of the solutions would be to only include pages with custom Speed Dial thumbnails into the folders so that you can have a better overview of what’s inside. In case this level of micromanagement is not your game – or if you simply want to have one beautiful image for your folder – you can right-click on it and choose “Select Custom Thumbnail” from the dropdown menu to replace the thumbnail with a custom image. Opens up a whole new world of customization possibilities, doesn’t it?

The accidental refresh fix
We’ve also heard your requests about disabling the F5 refresh on custom thumbnails. Previously, F5 would refresh the custom thumbnail and bring it back to a default one, and it was an easy mistake to make. Not anymore – F5 won’t touch your custom thumbnails and will only refresh the default ones. Question is, would you want to have any default ones left now that you can customize them all…
